The IOC-decision on the Russian Olympic Team in Pyeongchang 2018 is coming up - will they be allowed to start under the Russian flag despite of the revealed state-supported doping system? At Deutschlandfunk, Richard McLaren, independant investigator for the World Anti-Doping Agency and Hajo Seppelt talk about options for the IOC and evidence they know.

    In an over 30-minute discussion at Deutschlandfunk, the two experts on doping in Russia talk about evidence they know - for expample data from the Moskow anti-doping laboratory recently received by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Seppelt was the author of a documentary that revealed the doping system in Russia.
    The two experts debate further what outcome of the IOC decision is likely, what they think about individual justice versus a blanket ban in this matter and they discuss the FIFA’s behavior in the fight against doping.
